Lifelong Learning comes to Darlington!

posted 2 Mar 2015, 08:08 by Peninnah Pappworth-McAllister

March 15th will see an exciting new development for DHC as for the first time in many years the community will be running not only a Cheder for its growing band of youngsters but also a Beit Midrash for the adult members. Both groups will be studying Hebrew and Jewish Studies once a fortnight on Sunday mornings, with teachers, DHC rabbi, Dr Barbara Borts and NRS member and teacher, Benny Ross whose services DHC are delighted to have been able to engage.

For several years Rabbi Borts has led study sessions on the parasha or the Jewish angle on a matter of topical interest before the Shabbat services she leads for the Darlington Hebrew Congregation. These will also be continuing enabling all the community to engage in Jewish lifelong learning.
