Lots of noise and fun for all ages at DHC Purim Party.

A good mix of adults and lively youngsters gathered at the DHC shul for the 2015 DHC Purim Party. The afternoon started with a team Purim quiz set and run by expert quizmaster (and a BBC show ‘Pointless’ winner) DHC member, Martin Goldberg. The questions were seriously challenging but after a tie-break question, team 3, of Joyce, Jimmy, Colm and Peninnah, emerged victorious and all the partygoers much more informed about Purim. After a scrumptious afternoon tea prepared by the keen bakers of DHC, everyone assembled to perform an improvised, funny and very noisy Purimspiel, with all the audience enrolled at some stage as part of the cast. Darlington Chair, Bess Robertson then presented prizes to all the youngsters who had taken part in a Purim colouring competition, to the winning quiz team and to any adult or child who had come in fancy dress.
