Sukkot 5776

posted 2 Oct 2015, 05:31 by Peninnah Pappworth-McAllister
There was a tremendous turn out in glorious sunshine for our communal succah decoration and erev service.  It was marvellous to see a good bunch of youngsters  lending a hand. We had  a generous amount of greenery and some very enthusiastic builders amongst the adults. The younger people seemed to prefer the more sedentary tasks of colouring pictures to add to the decorations! As always there was an excellent choice of food to eat in the succah after the service with one of our visitors turning out to be a star cheesecake baker.  A great big thank you to all who came, brought greenery and fruit, decorated and helped in the kitchen and of course to Rabbi Dr Borts for leading a lively and tuneful service and for teaching us an extremely short version of, 'Grace after Meals'!
