Sukkot and Sukkah building

We are getting used to the magnificent support that members give to their community but it was amazing to see many of those who had spent many, many hours in synagogue the day before turn out the very next day to help erect and decorate the DHC Sukkah.  We then shared our packed lunches and an enjoyable natter before this special bunch of people spontaneously set to without any fuss to tidy, clean and prepare the shul ready for the Sukkot service.
Despite strong winds and driving rain on Monday, the sukkah stood firm and we were able to make Kiddush in it after the service on Thursday, 9th October.
