Sunday buzz in shul as DHC learns!

For many years there had been no Cheder at Darlington Hebrew Congregation but 2015 has seen the miracle of not only a thriving fortnightly Cheder class taught by Benny Ross but also a popular fortnightly adult beit Midrash class taught by Rabbi Dr Borts. Rabbi Dr Borts also continues to teach study sessions before the Shabbat services she leads for the community. These are on the Jewish angle to a current topic and continue to be very popular with the congregation.

Both sets of Lifelong Learning class students seem to be thoroughly enjoying the 2 hours on alternate Sunday mornings they spend studying Hebrew and Jewish Studies. Everyone is making progress with Hebrew and the adults continue to be amazed at how much they learn each week in the Jewish studies hour which has been concentrating on Festivals this term.
